Take the power and luxury of the BMW 530i and add an increased focus on fuel economy and you get the BMW 530e. Under the hood, it packs the 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo I4 engine with an AC Synchronous Electric Motor, giving you a combined 248 horsepower, and 310 pound-feet of torque through the eight-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission, going farther on less and bringing the 5 Series to a whole new level of technology and performance. This is also thanks to added eDrive button with AUTO eDrive, MAX eDrive, and Battery Control modes.
Inside, the BMW 530e comes with several of the same features as the 530i, like the iDrive infotainment system, but it adds BMW eDrive Services like charging station search, range and charging status, and charging timer.

The 5 Series has a long history of excellent inline-six engines under its hood. That tradition continues in the newest generation. The 540i comes with a 3.0-liter inline-six engine with double VANOS technology. Total output comes to a hearty 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. From a standstill, the 540i can reach 60 mph in a mere 4.7 seconds.
There's subtlety in the exterior styling of the 540i. Black chrome exhaust tips peak out the back, while adaptive LED headlights adorn the front. On the sides, the 540i gets power heated mirrors and double spoke light alloy wheels.

This model has the most power in the 5 Series lineup short of the M5. TwinPower Turbo charging and double-VANOS push the V8 engine all the way to 456 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Every M550i comes with standard xDrive all-wheel drive to help rein in the V8's impressive output.
A slew of cosmetic upgrades are reserved for the M550i. An aerodynamics kit and rear spoiler add a sporting edge. Cerium grey accents and light alloy wheels give the model a cohesive subtlety.
Seating gets an improvement, as well, with 20-way power adjustable front seats coming standard. Aluminum Rhombicle interior trim is standard, along with a SensaTec dashboard.
